I feel truly honored to be a part of a couple’s wedding celebration and pour my heart into each and every project. Your wedding day is a celebration of love and your images will reflect that. Your day will unfold as you’ve always envisioned it, and I’ll be there to observe, document and share.
I never limit my coverage by the hour. Your day will likely last longer than 8 hours and I want to be there for your entire story. I am there to guide to you, but I am not the focus of your day. We plan ahead of time so that your stress is reduced, but when your day arrives, I’m there to see, feel and document.
As a documentary photographer, my approach is to tell your visual story. I love creating natural, beautiful portraits but I primarily photograph candidly in order to capture the authenticity of your day. Of course I am trained to photograph posed family and group portraits and often happily take those types of images. The goal is to work with you to not only give you what you want, but to offer a bit of Amelia in the form of moments observed and beauty seen.
I think your love should be documented often. I regret not having many images of my father and I together. Having lost him years ago, I long to look at images that would show me how much he loved me. I want to use imagery to put myself back into moments we shared together. This desire is what drives me to document families.
I’m not your ordinary photographer. I like to get to know your family – to make a brief connection before we begin the session. I document your life as you live it.
Sessions often require 2-3 hours (or longer, if you have the time). Each and every session is unique so let’s discuss your family and what your ideal would be.
